The Beauty Bible: An Integrative Answer to Beauty through Chinese Medicine, Western Medicine, and Ayurveda

Author: Dr. Mandy Lin

Dr. Mandy Lin holds dual academic training in Chinese and Western medicine and has conducted in-depth research in Chinese medicine and natural approaches to beauty. With clinical experience from over 120,000 facial acupuncture treatments, she integrates Chinese and Western medical knowledge with Ayurveda, yoga, and American chiropractic principles to refine her approach to aesthetic acupuncture. Her work addresses not only visible concerns on the face, but also the deeper internal imbalances beneath them. She is also a trusted facial acupuncture physician for many well-known public figures.

Dr. Lin believes that the principle of “treating the root” in Chinese medicine applies not only to illness, but also to the field of aesthetic acupuncture. Through Chinese medicine, she works to improve fatigued muscle conditions and meridian energy balance, supporting facial beauty at its source — helping the face appear less hollow, less sagging, less wrinkled, and less dull from within.

Oriental Medical Aesthetics,
The Dingyan Method Refined Through Clinical Practice

Dingyan is not a brand built around a single treatment.
It is an Oriental Medical Aesthetic Method developed from facial structure, fascial tension, muscular support, and the holistic perspective of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

We believe that the visible signs of facial aging do not come only from the surface of the skin. They are deeply connected to muscular support, fascial tension, skeletal balance, qi and blood circulation, and the overall condition of the body.

Therefore, Dingyan’s aesthetic assessment does not begin with isolated correction. It begins with observing the face as a whole: whether the facial structure is imbalanced, whether the contours are descending, whether the expression appears tense, whether the complexion looks fatigued, and whether the body’s internal condition is influencing the way the face presents itself.

Dingyan’s professional foundation extends beyond clinical practice. It also continues through education.

Originating in Taipei, the Dingyan Method has gradually become a systematic entry point for overseas physicians to understand Oriental Medical Aesthetics.

We have refined years of clinical experience into a professional framework that can be learned, understood, and practiced. Through this, aesthetics becomes not merely a technique, but a capacity for clinical judgment.

With medical precision, Eastern holistic thinking, and refined aesthetic sensitivity, Dingyan has established an Oriental Medical Aesthetic Method rooted in Taipei and capable of engaging with the world.

Built through clinical practice.
Passed on through education.
