Facial acupuncture uses fine needles after a physician assesses facial muscle tension, fascial pull, contours, puffiness and overall condition. Led by Dr. Meng-Ying Lin, author of The Beauty Bible, Dingyan Taipei provides individualized clinical care through the Dingyan Method.
Dingyan Method™
Muscle · Fascia · Bone Structure · Holistic TCM
Starting from facial structure and whole-body conditions,
we return beauty to a natural, harmonious and stable state.
At Dingyan, facial acupuncture is approached as a medical aesthetic service that requires assessment, planning and long-term tracking. Each treatment begins with facial contours, muscle tension, fascial pull and overall condition.
Years of facial-acupuncture practice allow us to build judgment from diverse face shapes, ages and clinical conditions.
We evaluate through muscle, fascia, bone structure and holistic TCM, rather than relying on isolated techniques.
Through international physician exchange and in-depth training, the technique becomes a teachable and understandable system.
We pursue natural, balanced and stable beauty, focusing on individual proportions rather than exaggerated change.
Stable contours are not created by local stimulation alone. Dingyan considers the relationship between the face and the body, planning treatment through support, tension, proportion and qi-blood condition.
The Beauty Bible is centered on muscle, fascia, bone structure and holistic TCM. It organizes the clinical thinking behind facial acupuncture and age-reversal aesthetics. It is not only a book, but also the starting point of the Dingyan Method.
A technique that can truly be taught must be clinically organized, logically deconstructed and repeatedly verified. Dingyan Academy provides professional facial acupuncture training, selected seminars and clinical exchange for licensed acupuncturists and qualified healthcare practitioners, advancing facial acupuncture from individual technique into structured education through the Dingyan Method.
Founded by Dr. Mandy Lin, Dingyan Taipei is the clinical home of the Dingyan Method and Dingyan Academy’s professional facial acupuncture training.
Dingyan operates by appointment only. From pre-treatment consultation, facial relaxation and facial acupuncture to post-treatment guidance, each visit is completed in a calm, clear and well-understood process.
Concise answers about terminology, suitability, what one treatment may feel like, safety and the Dingyan Method.
Facial acupuncture is a physician-led treatment that uses fine needles after assessing facial muscle tension, fascial pull, contours, puffiness and overall condition. At Dingyan Taipei, treatment is individualized rather than applied as a fixed routine.
The terms are often used interchangeably for acupuncture focused mainly on the face. Assessment methods and treatment content can vary between clinics; Dingyan uses both terms when explaining its physician-led service.
Common concerns include facial puffiness, muscle tension, contours, asymmetry, tired-looking eyes and expression lines. A physician must assess whether treatment is appropriate and how it should be planned.
Some people notice a change in facial tension, contours or complexion after one treatment, but individual responses and duration vary. The physician explains an appropriate plan after the initial assessment.
Fine needles may cause a brief pinching sensation, and tense or sensitive areas may feel sore or heavy. Temporary redness, tenderness, pinpoint bleeding or bruising can occur after treatment.
The Dingyan Method is Dingyan's clinical framework for assessing facial muscles, fascia, bone proportions, head and neck tension and holistic TCM factors, with emphasis on natural expression and overall balance.
